Notes 11 Mar 1864 -- Born in Montreal, QC, Joseph-"Alexandre"-Olivier ARBOUR was one of 13 children born to Louis ARBOUR and Elise BEAUDRY. As a lad, Alexandre appears to have had a small dalliance withMarie-Azilda BEAUTRON-MAJOR and then choseto do the honorable thing. The young couplewas married in Montreal on 19 Apr 1880, when Alexandre was just 16-years old. Their daughter Marie-Azilda ARBOURwas born a scant 5 months later. Little Azilda died less than 2-years later and her mother followedher to the grave in 1884. The laborer and journeyman then began a new life when he wed Marguerite LENOIR-ROLLAND in Montreal on 03 Jan 1889. Twelve children were born to them over the next 20 years, eventually bringing them 17 grandchildren. Alexandre never met any of them, however, as he passed away in Montreal on 09 Sep 1911, at just 47 years of age. Marguerite was a grandmother 9 times over before meeting her demise on 30 Jun 1930. Both were buried in Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Catholic Cemeteryin Montreal.
