Notes - Virginie and Basile established their home in St-Emelie-de-l'Energie, where they had 15 children, four daughters and 11 sons. At least seven of their children did not survive childhood, six went on to marry, one became a priest, and the fateof one of them is unknown. They also becamegodparents to four family youngsters: Virginie's brother Martial ARBOUR in January 1889, nephew Alfred Henri Eleoni BLAIS in December 1890, nephew Leo ARBOUR in April 1910, and niece Virginie AlineARBOUR in March1913, all baptised at St-Emelie-de-l'Energie.
Although his father was a farmer from St-Emelie-de-l'Energie, the younger Basile worked there as a dairyman. In 1901, the young family owned afour-room house plus three outbuildings on ¾ acre of the 2nd Range, Joliette Canton.
Virginie and Basile passed away in St-Emelie-de-l'Energie just five months apart. According to the church record of her burial, Virginie was born on 28 Nov 1867.
