Notes - Joseph and Marguerite had 10 children, six daughters and four sons. Sometime after their last child, Rachel, was born in 1852, the family moved to Connecticut. This seems to have been before 1857, as that is when daughter Zoe married in Putnam, Connecticut. Also, sometime after Rachel was born, Marguerite died. Did she die after they had moved to the United States? Or did the family move after her death so they might get anew start in new surroundings? One thing is clear, Marguerite does notappear with the family in the 1860 Census in Windham County, Connecticut, so she had apparently diedby then.
