Notes Emma was baptised at St Ann's with the name Aimee-Anne-Jane DUPUIS,but was always known as Emma. Emma's second husband, James GARRITY, owned a livery stable in Waubaushene, but the family later moved to Toronto. During the Depression, times were hard so the family was forced to move in with Emma's sister Marie. Marie and her family lived in South Porcupine, which was a mining community in the northern part of Ontario. It seems as though the mines were less impacted by the Depression thanother industries.
