ARBOUR -- Mr. Albert Joseph Arbour, age 78 years of 602 College Street,passed away in hospital on Saturday, 4 March 1989,after a brief illness. Born in Perce, QC, and came to Port Arthur in 1920. He was building foreman with Port Arthur Parks Boardwith whom he was employed from 1939 until his retirement in 1970. Subsequently, he was self-employed as acabinet makerat his residence until 1980. He was an avid fisherman andoutdoorsman. Member of St Margaret's RC Parish for many years. On 10 January 1989, he and his wife Violet celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: one sister, Mrs. Clara Ahern of QC; cousins, Dona Arbour, George Arbour, Fred Arbour, Regis Arbour, and Mrs. Louise Breiland, all of Thunder Bay; niece and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 8 March 1989, at St Margaret's RC Church, meeting at the Church of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, celebrated by Rev. Msgr. R. A. Carey, PH. Interment in St Andrew's Cemetery. Prayers will be said Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm in the Everest Chapel. Visiting for friends will be from 5:00 pm Tuesday at the Chapel.
