Notes - By 1837, Alexandre and Josephte seem to have moved into the big city ofMontreal, as that is where their son Alexandre was born. The family possibly moved there as early as 1825. During the Census of1825, they were not recorded as living in either L'Assomption or St Sulpice. It is unknown when or where they died.
It is THOUGHT that the death/burial information belongs to THIS Alexandre. However, in said record, he was noted as having been 77-years old when he died, making him born about 1786. There was no mention of a spouse either living or dead.

Bio from Facebook 19 Mar 2010:
19 March 1801 -- Born in St Sulpice, QC, Alexandre ARBOUR was one of 16children of farmer Pierre ARBOUR and Therese DALBEC-BELAIR [who are myg-g-g-g-grandparents - :]. Alexandre stayed nearby when he married Marie-Louise-Josephte DUFAULT in L'Assomption, QC, on 08 January 1822. Thecouple eventually had 10 children, 5 daughters and 5 sons. Throughout at least 1832, they lived in L'Assomption but moved to the big city of Montreal by 1837, as that is when their son Alexandre wasborn there. The elder Alexandre was 62-years old when he died in Montreal on 02 September 1863, and was buried there the next day. It is unclear when or where Josephte died, but she was known to be living during the Census taken in March 1881. They are confirmed to have left 41 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, 48 great-great-grandchildren, and 38 great-great-great-grandchildren, including the very famous Louise ARBOUR, who was formerly both a Canadian Supreme Court Justiceand the United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights.
