Raymond P. Arbour, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at noon Friday, 21 Oct 2011. A resident of Denham Springs and a native of Baton Rouge, Raymondgraduated from Catholic High Schooland served in the US Navy for fouryears. A graduate of LSU and a retiree of ExxonMobil, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ruth R. Arbour; two daughters, Ashley Laborde and husband Jeffrey, of Denham Springs, and Allyson Lambert and husbandWallace, of Spanish Fort, AL; four grandchildren, Tristan Laborde, Taylor Laborde, Ainsley Lambert andAbigail Lambert; four brothers and a sister, Harold Arbour, Gerald Arbour, Barbara Delaune, Dale Arbour and Daryl Arbour. Preceded in death by hisparents, Cyril T. Arbour, who was a native of Baton Rouge, and Murnie K. Arbour, who was a native of Bogalusa. Raymond was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 3331, ExxonMobil Research Retirees Club and the Quality of Life Association. He also volunteered on a regular basis at Lewis Vincent Elementary School. Visitation at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Greenwell Springs, on Sunday, 23 Oct, from 5 pm to 8 pm, with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 pm. Visitation resumes at the church Monday, 24 Oct, from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. Services under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. Inlieuof flowers, donations can be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. A special thanks to Sherri, Terri, Priscilla, Jason, Myles, and Chris of the MSCC unit at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. The family would also like to thankDrs. Spell, Hines, Boedefeld, Pirzadah, and Kantrow, the Rev.Sam Maranto, Lisa, Danielle, and Christine.
