• Notes

  As reported in the 1901 Census, Jean earned $250 that year as a fisher and farmer. Although the family seemed to be well-entrenched in Perce, the enticements of the lumber trade in Ontario must have called them there. The family was know to be living in Ontario by July 1903 and Jean died just a few years later. The family then packed up and moved once again, this time to the United States, where they settled in Rhode Island.
