- Francis and Frances had six children, two daughters and four sons. Theyalso had 14 grandchildren as of 1995. Francis was a very generous person. He was extremely involved with his family and with the Catholic Church. He was often the life of the party and loved to dance.[ArbourBook]

ARBOUR, Francis Xavier -- Peacefully in his sleep, of acute asthma, on 26 September 1995, in his 81st year. Loving husband of Frances Borowski, and dear father of Paul and Siobhan, Ken and Norika, Michael and Margaret, Carolyn and Richard, Lynda, Art and Irene (deceased). Francis took great delight and pride in his grandchildren, Brenna, Caitlin, Dylan,Hannah, Leyna, Sarah, Gregory, Elizabeth, Marc-Andre, Joy, Rachel, Deirdre, Adrienne, and Jean-Marc. Predeceased by Eva, Reine,Arthur, Edmund, Blanche, Veronica, Emma, and Alice. Francis will be missed by many friends, nieces, nephews, and other members of the family. Devoted to hisfamily, Francis also had many community involvements, and was generousin giving histime and resources to various causes. He loved the Catholic Church but also saw the need for change in the church and society. An early advocate of smoke-free zones, often mistaken for Mr. Christie, Jays fan, dedicated Monday monring shopper, and often the life of theparty, he loved to dance. The family wishes to thank the staff of Centenary Hospital for their sensitive, caring treatment of Francis over the last decade. Resting at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. East (between Warden and Pharmacy)Wednesday and Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 pm.Funeral Mass at St Rose of Lima Church, Lawrence Ave., east of McCowan, on Friday, 29 September at 10 am. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
