Sometime between1882 and 1894, Augustin migrated to the UnitedStates and settled in the State of Maine, where he and his family lived in Augusta from 1900through 1930. In 1900, they lived at 5 Melville Street. In 1910, they lived at 19 Green Street. In 1920, they lived at 9 Melville Street and living with them was Esther's mother. By 1925, they were backat5 Melville Street, where they lived throughat least 1930. Perhaps the 1920 address was recorded in error. Also living with them in 1930 were grandsons Lawrence ARBOUR, 10, and Philip ARBOUR, 8. What had happened to the parents of these youngboys?
Kennebec Journal (Augusta, ME) -- 28 Jun1905
The Augusta record for early peas goes to Angus Arbour, gardener for Hon. John F. Hill, who supplied them for the table Jun 26. This does not look as though the spring had been very backward in this section (sic),though no small part of the credit goes to Mr. Arbour's skill and careas a gardener.
