  On 09 Apr 1956, Bennie registered for the Draft. On that date, he was described as 5' 4" and 108 lbs, with blue eyes, brown hair, and a ruddy complexion. He was noted as having a scar on his right elbow. His mother was recorded as his next of kin. ___ Baton Rouge Advocate (LA) -- 04 Jul 2004 ARBOUR SR., BENNIE THOMAS -- A sheet metal mechanic for 35 years, he died at 1:55 pm Saturday, 3 July 2004, at his residence in Denham Springs. He was 64 and a native of New Orleans. He was a US Armyveteran. Visiting was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 5 pm to 9 pm Sunday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel from 10 am until religious service at 2 pm Monday, conducted by the Rev. Vincent Dufresne. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Lisa Ann Arbour; a daughter, Cassie Arbour Hubert; six sons, Ricky Huggett and Charles, Bennie Jr., Doug, Mickey, and Ray Arbour; a stepson, James Newman; 18 grandchildren; and Pearl Arbour, mother of his six children. Preceded in death by his father, Douglas T. Arbour; and mother, Viola Arbour Kobylinski. He was a member of Abundant Life Church in Denham Springs and Local 21.Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Society of Greater Baton Rouge, 550 Lobdell Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
