They lived in Ste-Marcelline, Quebec, between 1936and Telesphore's death in 1947 and thereafter through 1974. Vercheres and Telesphore eventually had five children together, two daughters andthree sons. On 09 May 1911, Vercheres, Telesphore, and kids passed through Newport,VT, on their way to Leeds, MA. Telesphore was noted to be 5' 5" tall with a medium complexion, brown hair, and brown eyes. The descriptions of his wife and children werenot included; only their names and ages were mentioned: Vercheres 33, Alma 18, Anna 17, Delia 15, Imelda 14, Aurore 11, Angelina 7, Eleonore 6, Yvonne 4 -- all born Ste-Emelie, QC. On 04 Jul 1916, Vercheres, Telesphore, and kids moved back to Quebec, passing through the border town of St Albans, VT. She grew up on her family's farm, learning what it meant to be a part ofa big family. On 03 Aug 1909, Vercheres would have the opportunity to have her own large family when she wed the widower Telesphore THOUIN. She instantly became step-mother to his 8 surviving children, who were between the ages of 5 and 17. It seems as though Vercheresdelayed her own child-bearing until 1913, when the first of her 5 children were born through 1920. After their wedding, Vercheres and Telesphore lived in the United States from 1911 to 1916. On 09 May 1911, Vercheres, Telesphore, and kids passed through Newport,VT, on their way to Leeds, MA.
