• Notes

  In her will dated January 24th 1701 Isabel made a bequest to Margaret Keanish 'for abideing with her son till may come twellmonth'. She also nominated her ONLY daughter Ales Corteen her executrix. This seems to indicate that there were no other daughters but the parish registers record Isabell (1691) and Kathe (1694) as daughters of Thomas Corteen. Was there perhaps another Thomas ? or did Isabell & Kathe die before their mother ?
