    • On 16 Mar 1931, Manley travelled to the US via the port of Niagara Falls, NY. He was headed from his home in Toronto, ON, to Rochester, NY, for a 2-day visit with Gordon WILLIAMS, 416 Grand Ave, Rochester. He was noted as being 5'9" tall with a medium complexion, brown hair, and blueeyes. He had $5 in his pocket.

      ROCHESTER YOUTH IS HELD IN ASSAULT CASE
      Toronto, ON -- Complaint of two 19-year old Toronto girls today resulted in the arrest of three young men, two of them on a serious charge andone of them on a charge in indecent assault. The girls claim they weretaken in a car from Sunnyside to acounty road near Islington and assaulted. Kenneth Williams, 22, Rochester, NY, and Howard VanWinklin, 23, Toronto, face serious charges. Manley Arbour, 23, is charged with indecent assault. The three youths deny ever having met the girls.

      29 March 1909 -- Today's profile is to remind all of us that family history is made of people, with all of our warts and flaws. Each of us is human in our own way. Born in Waubaushene, ON, Cecil "Manley" ARBOUR was the 2nd of 2 children of mill hand William Henri ARBOUR and his 2nd wife Ellen-Jane DUPUIS. It is unclear if Manley ever married or had children. On 16 March 1931, Manley was working as an auto assembler when hetraveled to the US via the port of Niagara Falls, NY. Hewas headed from his home in Toronto, ON, to Rochester, NY, for a 2-day visit with Gordon WILLIAMS, 416 Grand Ave, Rochester. He was noted as being 5'9" tallwith a medium complexion, brown hair, and blue eyes. He carried $5 in his pocket. Thefollowing year, ourlast piece of information about Manley comes via a news article published in the Canandaigua, NY, Daily Messenger on Monday 12 September 1932:

      Manley was subsequently found living in the Toronto district of Trinity, while working as a truck driver in 1957 and an operator in 1958. In 1958, he lived with Beatrice Arbour -- was she his wife?
