  Kennebec Journal (Augusta, ME) -- 20 Sep 1963 MRS. MARIE E. GENEST Augusta -- Mrs. Marie E. Genest, 62, of 12 Monroe St., died Thursday atthe Augusta General Hospital after a long illness. She was born 26 June 1901, at St Odilon, Dorchester, QC, the daughter of Thomas and Florida Bourgeault Grondin. She was a communicant of St Augustine Catholic Church, a member of the Ladies of St Anne, and Union of St Jean the Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Wilfred Genest of Augusta; a daughter, Mrs. Germaine Zimba of Waterville; a grandchild; threesisters, Mrs.Cecile Asselin and Mrs. Lea Guimond of Augusta, and Mrs. Valeda Gilbert of Quebec; two brothers, Desire Grondin of Augusta and Edmund Grondin of Mountain View, CA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held a St Augustine Catholic Church, Saturday at 10 am. GENEST, Mrs. Marie Emma -- Ladies of St Anne and members of Union of StJohn the Baptist will meet at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 15 Flagg St., Augusta, at 7 pm Friday to offer prayers for their departed member. GENEST, Mrs. Marie Emma -- Friends may call at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 15 Flagg St., Augusta, today from 10 am - 10 pm.
