  Baton Rouge Advocate (LA) -- Sunday 05 Mar 2006 FAY ARBOUR BYARS Byars, Fay Arbour -- A retired guidance counselor for Eunice High School and a resident of Eunice, she died at 4:20 pm on Friday, 3 March 2006, at Eunice Community Medical Center. She was 86 and a native of Baton Rouge. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Fay and DrewMiller of Eunice; two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Gloria Byarsof Moss Bluff, and James and Eileen Byars of Tomball, Texas; three brothers, Jules E. Arbour III of Houston, Louis K. Arbour ofBaton Rouge andRichard Arbour of Denver; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in deathby her husband, Earnest "Speck" Byars; father, Jules E. Arbour Jr.; mother, Eunice Greely Arbour; and sister, Doris Arbour Phillips. She was a 1939 graduate of LSU, from which she received her master's degree and 30 plus hours. In her honor, the family requests that memorial donations be given to the Eunice High School Library.
