Mrs. Violet A. (Gehl) Arbour age 85 years of Thunder Bay,passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at McKellar Hospital. Daughter of the late John and Eva Gehl. She enjoyed her home and garden and being a member of St. Margaret's R. C. Church andCatholic Women's League. She retired from Eaton's Department Store Drapery Dept. sewingroom. Survived by her brother Ronald and his wife Anneof Roseville, California, sisters-in-law Millie Gehl of Thunder Bay andGladys Gehl of Nanoose Bay, B.C. Numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Albert in 1989, sisters Edith Cherry, Margaret Villeneuve, and Catherine Wilson, brothers Arnold, Jack, Cecil, Bill and Mel. Brothers-in-law Cecil Cherry and Pete Villeneuve. Funeral services for the late Violet Arbour will be held on Friday, June 30, 2000 with family and friends assembling St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church,for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am celebrated by Father Ciarian Donnelly. Intermentwill follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Prayers will be offered on Thursday eveningat 7:00 pm in the Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma. Visitation for friends will be from 6:00 pm. Thursday. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
