      ARBOUR, Mrs Jessie Alice (Beckett) -- Passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Wednesday, 6 April 2011, in her 93rd year. Predeceasedby her beloved husband Wilfred (Naz) in 1991, granddaughter Rebecca (1973), and son-in-law Bill (2010), brothers and sisters Carl, George, Peter, Dorothy Hand, Mike, Robert, Dora, Ryan, Malcolm, and Jack. Loving mother of Fred (Eleanor), Gerry (Patti), Joe(Edith), Tim (Laura), and Lori Ivankovich. Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren,5 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. Alice was a longtime resident of Port Robinson, being actively involved at The Immaculate Conception Church, CWL and the Port Robinson Firefighter's Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to write poetry about herfamily, community and special events in time. Her later years were spent with her many friends at the PelhamTown Square Seniors residence. Friends will be received by the family at the James L. Pedlar Funeral Home, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill onSunday, 10 April, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, with prayers being said at 8:00 pm that evening. The funeral service to honour Alice's life will take place in the chapel on Monday, 11 April, at 11:00 am, with Father Peter Rowe officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Thorold. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation wouldbe greatly appreciated.       ARBOUR, Jessie Alice -- The family of Alice Arbour would like to express our sincere appreciation to family and friends for their expressions of sympathy, floral tributes, mass cards, and donations on the recent passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. We thank all of those who shared their wonderful memories with us, pointing out what a special lady Alice was. With gratitude to Father Rowe for his kind words and comforting service.Thank you to the pallbearers: JamieArbour, Ben Arbour, Kevin Arbour, Tom Arbour, Jim Ryan, and Allen Ryan.       Port Robinson, ON -- The marriage of Miss Jessie Alice Beckett, youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs George Beckett, and Wilfred Arbour, son of Thomas Arbour of Port Robinson, and the late Mrs Arbour, took place at 7 o'clock Firiday evening at Grey Gables, Welland. The Rev FatherO'Flaherty, pastor of Immaculate Conception RC Church, officiated. Thebride was attractively dressed in a queen'sblue net frock over taffetawith beige hat and accessories. She wore a corsage of red and white roses and baby's breath. Miss Ann Arbour, sister of the groom, her only attendant, chose navy blue sheer with white hat and corsage of pink and white roses. Harry Beckett was best man. Following the ceremony, the bridal party returned to the home ofthebride in Canby Street, where a buffet luncheon was served to 30 guests. Verna Eade and Mary Beckett assisted in serving. Mr and Mrs Arbour left for a short trip to Hamilton and other points.
