Frederick J. Arbour, 76, of Branford, CT, passed away at Connecticut Hospice after a short illness, surrounded by his family, on 28 March 2013. He was born 6 June 1936, in Newport, RI, son of the late Fernand and Catherine Cayton Arbour. A boating enthusiast with friends on the Connecticut River, Fred enjoyed retirement spending time by the water, reading and walking. Remembered for his humor, Fred entertained family and friends at every occasion. In his earlier years, Fred was a dance instructor with Arthur Murray Dance Studios, meeting his future wife, Gerri, on the dance floor. He worked as a chemical operator at United Nuclear and Upjohn Chemical prior to his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Milici Arbour, children, Frederick J. Arbour of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Kenneth R. (Kimberly) Arbour of Branford, Nicole H. Kasynak of Nashua, NH, and Robert E. (Deborah) Arbour of Simpsonville, SC; his grandchildren, Theresa and Kali Chasse, Justin and Chelsea Kasynak, Rachel, Ryker and Morgan Arbour; his brother, Ronald (Dolores) Arbour of Orange, CT, his sister, Kathryn Arbour of Denver, CO. He was predeceased by his brother Robert E. Arbour. Relatives and friends may callWednesday evening from 5-7 pm at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, and are invited to a memorial Mass of ChristianBurial Thursday morning at 10:00 in St Mary Church, Branford.
