Irene M. Boutin 1906 - 2011
Chicopee -- Irene M. (Arbour) Boutin, 104, of the Aldenville section ofChicopee was Called Safely Home on Friday, 4 February 2011. She passedinto Eternal Life surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers fromWillimansett Center West in Chicopee, where she resided for the past eight years. She was born in Willimantic, Connecticut on 20 August 1906, a beloved daughter of the late Leon andSoufranie (Bertrand) Arbour. She was raised in Willimantic and later settled in the Aldenville section of Chicopee in 1929. She was lastemployedas a seamstress at the former Chicopee Undergarment Company, before retiring in 1968. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville and a member of theLadies of Saint Anne Sodality ofthe parish. She was a member of the Aldenville Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by: her loving daughter, Lillian Wells Pulaski, who was Called Home on 15 March 1973; her beloved husband, Emile J. Boutin, who wasCalled Home on 18 May 1989; and her dear brothers and sisters. She leaves her loving children: Lorraine M. Boisvert of South Hadley; ViolaA. Benard and her husband, Lester of Enfield, CT; and Joseph Ronald Boutin and his wife, Lisaof Agawam. She also leaves: her 16 cherished grandchildren; her 24 cherished great-grandchildren; her seven cherished great-great-grandchildren; and her many dear nephews and nieces. Her funeral willbe held on Tuesday morning, 8 February 2011, at 8:15 am from theSt Pierre Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, 13 Dale Street in Chicopee, followedby a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street in Chicopee. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street in Chicopee. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home in the Rose Chapel on Monday, 7 February 2011, from 4 pm to 7 pm The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA01020. Memorial donations may be madein her memory to the charity of the donor's choice.

Memere Boutin was such an amazing woman in in her final years, she carried herself with such grace and pride and always wanted felt the need to help others even at 104! Seth and I will surely miss visiting her andI know that Cali would have loved to have hergreat great grandmother in her life...a guardian angel will have to do :) ~ Seth, Mouy, Cali & Sim Kingsley, Granby, Connecticut Shehad 4 children
