Notes - While primarily living in Toronto, Ted and Lillian owned a summer and vacation home on Maple Street in Waubaushene. The back of this house wasadjacent to the school yard at the former St John's Roman Catholic School, attended by many familyyoungsters. Ted is remembered as being kindto all the children, including his grandnieces and grandnephews. His grandson Michael recalls two of his favoritesayings as "Holy tomat'r cans" and "Sufferin' catfish".

ARBOUR, Edward Joseph -- At Providence Hospital, on Tuesday, 16 February 1982. Ted, beloved husband of the late Lillian Arbour. Dear father ofNeil (wife, Anne), Theresa (Mrs. Jerry Quinn), Marie (Mrs. Joe Kelly),Irene, and Ivan (wife, Irene). Brother of Bertha, Arthur, and Elside. Predeceased by Amanda, William, Henry, Alexina, Victoria, Margaret, andReginald. Sadly missed by 29 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Happily remembered as a ... and energetic man. Resting atthe Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E (east of Pharmacy) from 7 pm Wednesday. Funeral mass on Fridaymorning at 10 am in Our Lady of Fatima Shrine (St Clair near Victoria Park). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,donations to Providence Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 3276 St Clair Ave. E, Scarborough, would be appreciated.

02 April 1905 -- Born in Waubaushene, ON, Joseph Edouard Wilfred Lorne ARBOUR - known by all as Ted - was the 8th of 13 children of mill worker Alphonse ARBOUR and his wife Marie EMOND, who happen tobe my great-grandparents. Ted married Lillian Johanna CONDON on 31 December 1927, andthey had 5 children in the next 9 years, 3 daughters and 2 sons. Ted was known to work as a laborer for the Sheppard & Gill Lumber Company in1930. While primarily living in Toronto, Ted and Lillianowned a summerand vacation home on Maple Street in Waubaushene. The back of this house was adjacent to the schoolyard at the former St John's Roman Catholic School, attended by many family youngsters. Uncle Ted is remembered as being kind toall the children, including his grandnieces and grandnephews. His grandson Michael recalls two of his favorite sayings as "Holytomat'r cans" and "Sufferin' catfish". Lillian passed away on 20 Jan 1980 and Ted followed her just 2 years later,on 16 Feb 1982. They werebothburied in Holy Cross Cemetery in Thornhill, ON. This lovely couple is responsible for 29 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
