  Hotelier et boulanger.From a BBS message from Baxter LAPORTE on 9 Dec 1993:"...Jacques (de) LAPORTE dit SAINT-GEORGES who came from a little town by the name of Noce in the former area of Perche, France. His father in Noce, also named Jacques, was an innkeeper and baker and was very close to the local baron, so it is assumed he was close to royalty. He also knew how to read & write which was uncommon in those days.
