  • Notes
    • By 1900, Josephine had given birth to 4 children, only 2 of whom were still living. It is unclear if either of the other two might have been children of Eugene. However, the 1910 Census reports that Josephine onlyever had 2 children.

Josephine's parents were born in Quebec and Illinois.[1910,1920Census]

He called in Joseph Cote, 580 North Evergreen Avenue, who arrived just as the aged woman was breathing her last. Dr. H. W. Bundy, 629 South Harrison Avenue, was called, but too late. Albert Guertin, 605North Evergreen Avenue, a son by a former marriage, stated that his mother had been suffering from hardening of the arteries and high blood pressure. The daughter of Edward and Philomene Fortin, she was born in St Anne on 25 September 1867, and was was married to George Guertin in 1884.
