- By 1900, Josephine had given birth to 4 children, only 2 of whom were still living. It is unclear if either of the other two might have been children of Eugene. However, the 1910 Census reports that Josephine onlyever had 2 children.

SUDDEN DEATH TAKES WOMAN -- Mrs. Eugene Arbour Is Victim
Mrs. Eugene Arbour, 64, 605 North Evergreen Avenue, and affectionately known in that neighborhood as "Mother" Arbour, died suddenly Saturday night about 9:30 o'clock at her home. The cause of death, according to the belief of a coroner's jury, was high blood pressure and hardening ofthe arteries. Her husband, testifying at the inquest conducted by Coroner Octave J. Cartier this morning, stated that Mrs. Arbour had gone tobed early, apparently in her usual health. About 9 o'clock she arose and went to the kitchen and on her return was seized with a sudden attack of weakness and dropped into a chair. Aroused By Noise -- He heard unusual sounds, he stated, and arose, helping her back to bed. As she laydown she became unconscious and failed to respond to his attempts to revive her. He called in Joseph Cote, 580 North Evergreen Avenue, who arrived just as the aged woman was breathing her last. Dr. H. W. Bundy, 629 South Harrison Avenue, was called, but too late. Albert Guertin, 605North Evergreen Avenue, a son by a former marriage, stated that his mother had been suffering from hardening of the arteries and high blood pressure. The daughter of Edward and Philomene Fortin, she was born in St Anne on 25 September 1867, and was was married to George Guertin in 1884. He died in 1893 and four years later she was married to Eugene Arbour. Funeral Tuesday -- Besides her husband and the son Albert, she leaves another son - Alvin Guertinof Beaverville, two brothers - Louis andEdward of Hazelcrest, and three sisters - Mrs. Elmer Wilson of Bonfield, Mrs. Leah Colligan of Palatine, and Mrs. Bert Parady, 207 Vanderwater Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning from the Hickey Funeral Home and burial will be in St Anne Cemetery.
