- Edward and Mary apparently lived almost next door to each other before their marriage so that Edward married "the girl next door."
According to his WWI Draft Registration, Edward was of medium height and medium build. He had brown eyes and brown hair. He also stated that he was born in Williamstown, MA, rather than North Adams, as stated in his Birth Registration.
Edward's parents were both born in Quebec or in Quebec and New York.[1920,1930Census]

According to the 1940 Census, Edward had completed the 8th grade.
In 1940, Edward reported that he had earned $2459 in 1939.

EDWARD ARBOUR
Edward Arbour, 64, brother of Frederick Arbour of Mechanicville, and a former resident of Bennington, VT, died Wednesday at his home in North Adams, MA. He was the son of the late Mose Arbour and Philomene Porte. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Cavanaugh; three brothers, Frederick of Mechanicville, and Henry and Harry, both of North Adams. Funeral services will be tomorrow at 9 am from St Francis Church, North Adams.
