Brunswick -- Odette M. DuPont, 87, of Brunswick, formerly of Gardiner, completed her journey in this life on 22 Feb 2013, at her home with herfamily at her side. She was born in Augusta on 6 May 1925, a daughter of Edward and Adele (LaFlamme) Arbour. She was educated in Augusta schools and graduated from Central Maine Beauty School in Lewiston in 1963.She raised three children with her husband of 63 years, James R. DuPont Sr., who predeceased her on 20 May 2009. She was also predeceased byher sister, Yvette Frost; and her stepdaughter, Sally Moores. She is survived by three children, JamesJr., and his wife, Sue, of Bath, Judith Hudson and her husband, Jack, of Brunswick, and Jean DuPont and her husband, Robert LaBreck, of Readfield;a stepdaughter, Joyce MacDougal, and her husband, Joel, of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Kate Nelson and husband Al, Mike Fredericks and wife Vallerie, Jay DuPont and wife Tanya, Brett Hudson and wife Nicole, and Amanda Hudson and husband ChrisFutrick; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; andher beloved cat Lizzie. She spent the better part of her life as a homemaker. She loved quilting, made stunning quilts and gave them away forother people to enjoy. Special thanksto CHANS Home Health Care Hospiceof Brunswick and her caregivers from hospice Crystal, Joellen, Karen, Cindy and Jo. Anyone wishing to make donationsin her memory may do so to CHANS, 60 Baribeau Drive, Brunswick ME 04011. There will be no formalservice or visitation.
