Philippe J. 'Phil' Arbour 1942-2004
Augusta -- Philippe J. "Phil" Arbour, 61, of Eight Rod Road died 9 March 2004, at the veterans hospital at Togus after a brief illness. He wasborn in Augusta on 25 Oct 1942, the son of Leo Arbour and Jeanne d'Arc(Douin) Arbour. Phil servedhonorablyin the Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Al's Double R's Taxi for several years prior to his retirement. He was previously employed by the Augusta Civic Center, Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Veterans Center at Togus and by EdwardsMfg. Co. for 27 years. Surviving are his wife, Nancy N. (Thibodeau) Arbour of Augusta; an aunt, Gertrude Arbour of Augusta; and several cousins. There will be no public visiting hours. Committal prayers will beoffered 11 amTuesday, 16 March, in thechapel at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, with the Rev. Raymond Lagace, Catholic chaplain from the Veterans Affairs center at Togus, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to theNational Multiple SclerosisSociety, Maine Chapter, PO Box 8730, Portland 04104.
