Name: Marie-Delphine-Leontine Arbour-(ALMA) PAQUETTE
- Sex:F
- ALIA:Alma /PAQUET/
- Birth:7 MAY 1894 in Lowell, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
- Baptism:9 JUN 1895 St Raphael, Bellechasse County, Quebec, Canada
- Event:Godparents Francois-Xavier PICARD and Delphine ARBOUR
- Residence:St-Raphael, QC, in 1901 (with her maternal grandparents as their adopted dau)
- Note:
Alma waseither born shortly before or shortly after her father's death. In any case, she was indeed baptised after her father's death. It appears as though her mother Philomene travelled all the way from Lowell, MA, to haveher baptised at home in St-Raphael, QC. This lends itself well to the assertion that Alma was born in Lowell, MA. Shortly after the little girl's baptism, Philomene must have left the baby with her parents, as it was no doubt next to impossible for a single mother to raise a child. Afew years later Philomene remarried; Alma seems to have never again lived with her mother even though her mother went on to have at least 5 more children with her second husband.
