ARBOUR JR. RETIRED FROM PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD Wilfred J. Arbour Jr., 74, of Route 111 died Friday at the Renaissance Nursing Home. He was born in Dover, NH, a son of Wilfred J. and Odelie Grenier Arbour Sr., and attended Dover schools. Mr. Arbour served with the New Hampshire National Guard and the Army during WWII. He moved to the Biddeford area after the war and was a house painter for several years and also worked at York Mill for a few years. He last worked 20 years at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1980. He wasa life memberof the Biddeford-Saco Elks. For the past nine years he was retired in Bradenton, FL. He enjoyed playing pool and cards. Surviving are his wife,Irene J. Chaffard Arbour; two sons, Ronald of Seattle and Roger of Biddeford; a stepson, Richard Morin ofLyman; a stepdaughter, Priscille Nadeau of Lyman; abrother, Norman of Biddeford; a sister, Jeannette Butler of Rochester, NH; three grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren.
