11 Feb 1886 -- Joseph Isidore ARBOUR was born in New Hartford, Connecticut, as the second son of Francois-Xavier ARBOUR and Mary E. STRIDE. Francois-Xavier had emigrated from St Raphael, QC, just 5 years earlier in order to take advantage of the many opportunities afforded by Canada's neighbor to the south. Joseph married Mary E. O'MEARA on 17 Mar 1909 in Springfield, Massachusetts, and they proceeded to have 3 sons over the next 6 years: Walter, Donald, and Robert. According to his WWI DraftRegistration, Joseph was tall with a medium build, brown eyes, and black hair.
