Augusta -- Edward C. Arbour, 70, of 11 Boothbay St., died Thursday afternoon at the Augusta General Hospital after a long illness. He was bornin Joliet, Canada, 5 Dec 1899, the son of Bartholomew and Celina Boisvert Arbour. Mr. Arbour was acommunicant of St Augustine Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, St John the Baptist Union of America Conseil Laval, the Calumet Club, the Artisan Society, and the Maine State Employees Association. He was employed asa supervisor in the Harlow Building of the Augusta State Hospital for 21 years, retiring a year ago. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Adele Laflamme Arbourof Augusta; two daughters, Mrs. Odette Dupont of Gardiner and Mrs. Yvette Frost of Randolph; a sister, Gabriel Arbour of Montreal, Canada; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A high requiem Mass will be sung Monday at 9 am at St Augustine Catholic Church. Burial will be in StAugustine Cemetery.

Brunswick -- Odette M. DuPont, 87, of Brunswick, formerly of Gardiner, completed her journey in this life on 22 Feb 2013, at her home with herfamily at her side. She was born in Augusta on 6 May 1925, a daughter of Edward and Adele (LaFlamme) Arbour. She was educated in Augusta schools and graduated from Central Maine Beauty School in Lewiston in 1963.She raised three children with her husband of 63 years, James R. DuPont Sr., who predeceased her on 20 May 2009. She was also predeceased byher sister, Yvette Frost; and her stepdaughter, Sally Moores. She is survived by three children, JamesJr., and his wife, Sue, of Bath, Judith Hudson and her husband, Jack, of Brunswick, and Jean DuPont and her husband, Robert LaBreck, of Readfield;a stepdaughter, Joyce MacDougal, and her husband, Joel, of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Kate Nelson and husband Al, Mike Fredericks and wife Vallerie, Jay DuPont and wife Tanya, Brett Hudson and wife Nicole, and Amanda Hudson and husband ChrisFutrick; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; andher beloved cat Lizzie. She spent the better part of her life as a homemaker. She loved quilting, made stunning quilts and gave them away forother people to enjoy. Special thanksto CHANS Home Health Care Hospiceof Brunswick and her caregivers from hospice Crystal, Joellen, Karen, Cindy and Jo. Anyone wishing to make donationsin her memory may do so to CHANS, 60 Baribeau Drive, Brunswick ME 04011. There will be no formalservice or visitation. A private burial will be held in the spring at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn. Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner

YVETTE ARBOUR BECOMES BRIDE
Hallowell, 13 May -- Miss Yvette Alice Arbour, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Edward J. Arbour of Hallowell became the bride of Grover Cleveland Frost, son of Mrs. Jessie Frost of Peru, 6 May in a ceremonyperformed at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Gardiner. The Rev. Alfred E. Mulkern pastor of the church officiated. The bride, who wore a suit of skipper bluewith blue and white accessories and a corsage of white rosebuds, was attended by Mrs. Corrine Ribbons of Litchfield. Mrs. Ribbons wore a navyblue suit with a pink rose corsage. Daniel Ribbons of Sidney was best man. A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Dupont in Gardiner. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Edward Lambert, Mrs. Edmond Pare, Mrs. James Dupont, and Miss Christine Arbour. The bride, a clerk in the Bureau of Automobile Registration, is a graduate of Cony High School, Augusta. Mr. Frost, who is a Dixfield High School graduate is employed at the Veterans' Administration Center, Togus. After a two-week's wedding trip to New York, Mr. and Mrs. Frost will make their home at Granite Hall, Hallowell.
