OMER G. ARBOUR
Augusta -- Omer G. Arbour, 71, 175 Northern Ave., died Friday, 25 Feb 1994, at the Kennebec Valley Medical Center, Augusta Division, after a brief illness. He was born in Augusta, 31 Mar 1992, the son of Francois and Olivine (Pare) Arbour. Mr. Arbour was a communicant of St AugustineCatholic Church and a devoted member of the Association Canado-Americaine, in which he was very active raising funds with many successful parties. He had been employed at Frank X. Pomerleau, Inc, for seven yearsand prior to that for more than 34 years at Bates Manufacturing Company,Edward Division. Survivors include his wife, Diana (Gotreau) Charest Arbour of Augusta; two brothers, Leo Arbour and Armand Arbour, both of Augusta; and several nieces, nephews,and cousins. A brother, Arthur Arbour, died previously. Relatives and friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Massof Christian burial will be celebrated today at 11:30 am at St AugustineCatholic Church. Spring burial will be in the family lot, St Augustine Cemetery, Townsend Road, Augusta. Officers and members of the Association of Canado-Americaine will meet at 3:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home to recite prayers for their departed member.
